October 2026
Fewer wrong findings on login pages, search bars and phones
Small links with clear space around them, sign-in pages kept out of search, and search bars drawn as one rounded box are no longer reported.
- FixedA link under 24px is reported only when it sits less than 8px from another button or link, in line with WCAG 2.5.8. Before, anything within a thumb’s width counted, which flagged almost every login form on a phone.
- FixedSign-in, sign-up, account, cart and checkout pages that ask search engines not to list them are no longer reported as a critical launch mistake: they are hidden on purpose.
- FixedA search bar whose field sits inside one rounded, bordered box no longer gets “the field can hardly be told apart from the background”: the box is its edge.
- ImprovedKeyboard findings name a field by its label (even a visually hidden one) instead of calling it “an unnamed field”.
- FixedSmall text on phones is reported less often: sentences below 11px (was 12px) and short labels below 9px (was 10px), so 11px footers and small badges no longer show up on every check.
- ImprovedNew checks look at everything except accessibility by default; tick Accessibility in What to check for a WCAG review. Your choice is remembered.
Choose what to check
Check everything, or only the areas and checks you need right now, such as accessibility alone.
- NewBeside Run check, pick what to check: everything, whole areas such as Layout, Accessibility or Forms, or single checks such as keyboard use or broken links. Only those run, and the report shows only those areas.
- NewYour choice is kept for your next checks, so an accessibility-only routine stays set until you change it.
- ImprovedRe-scan checks the same areas again, and the report header says which areas a check covered.
Two more WCAG 2.2 rules tested, and fewer wrong findings
Dragging movements and consistent help are now checked automatically, and several checks judge pages the way a person testing them would.
- NewWCAG 2.2 Dragging Movements (2.5.7): custom sliders are clicked along their track like a visitor would, and lists that can only be reordered by dragging are flagged.
- NewWCAG 2.2 Consistent Help (3.2.6): full-site checks find pages where the contact link, phone, email, FAQ or chat isn’t where the rest of the site keeps it.
- ImprovedLow contrast on large headings is a minor finding judged against 3:1, and contrast findings say the text doesn’t stand out instead of calling bright colours faint.
- ImprovedBig empty gaps between sections on phones are found even when the site repeats them (desktop spacing never reduced for small screens), and scroll-pinned sections are no longer reported as blank areas.
- ImprovedThe quality gate only says “Ready to ship” when the site is good enough: every check, re-scans too, needs no critical problems and a score of at least 70. A re-scan still shows progress: “Failed · Improved +3, 5 fixed”.
- ImprovedA check that is testing shows a loader in the Checks and Projects lists and turns into its score by itself when it finishes. Automatic re-checks after you mark something fixed follow you in the progress card too.
- ImprovedReview shows each problem as a numbered pin; its area appears when you hover or click it, so overlapping problems never hide each other.
- FixedMenus whose items are buttons (common in React apps that scroll to a section on click) are no longer reported as "Tapping the menu button doesn’t show any links".
- ImprovedShort labels and captions such as "Years Experience" are reported as too small only below 10px. Sentences are still reported from 12px.
Search everything with ⌘K, and a product tour
Find any check, project or comment from anywhere in the app.
- NewPress ⌘K (Ctrl K on Windows) to search checks, projects and comments, jump to any page of the app, or type an address to check it.
- NewA short product tour lights up each part of the app in turn. Take it again any time from the account menu.
Change your plan without leaving the app
Upgrades, plan switches and what counts towards your daily checks.
- NewThe Billing page shows the three plans side by side with Upgrade and Switch buttons. Switching an existing subscription is prorated, with downgrades at renewal.
- ImprovedChecks that were cancelled or failed before any screenshot no longer use up a check of the day.
- NewA finished check that isn’t in a project offers to save its site as one.
Limit people to the projects they work on
Give a freelancer or a client access to one project instead of the whole workspace.
- NewMembers and viewers can be limited to chosen projects, from the Team page or when you invite them. They see those projects’ checks, comments and releases, plus checks they started.
Clearer Figma differences
See exactly what differs between the design and the page, and where.
- ImprovedEach Figma difference shows the design value next to the page value (font size, weight, colour, spacing).
- NewIn diff mode, changed regions get their own bar and a popover explaining what changed there.
Free tool results show where each problem is
The free checkers now point at the problem instead of only naming it.
- ImprovedResults show each screen with numbered boxes on the problems and a close-up of every spot.
- ImprovedA clearer verdict: looks good, worth a look, or needs fixing.
- NewFix guides now have quick answers, copyable code with highlighting, before/after pictures and new guides on UI testing, visual testing and testing a website.
Free tools, new device sizes and Send to Notion
Five free checkers on the site, screen sizes named after 2026 devices, and reports in Notion.
- NewFree tools, no account needed: Responsive design checker, Mobile-friendly test, Broken link checker, Website accessibility checker, Meta tag checker and Color contrast checker.
- ImprovedStandard screen sizes are named after current devices: iPhone 17, Galaxy A55, iPad upright and on its side, laptop, Windows laptop and Full HD. A device list covers the rest.
- NewSend to Notion turns a check into a Notion page with every finding, its picture and the fix. It runs in the background and emails you when ready.
- ImprovedOne Export menu holds Download report, Send to Slack and Send to Notion.
- ImprovedFull-site Issues show pages on the left and the chosen page’s findings on the right, with a Filters menu (screen size, status, fix, WCAG).
- ImprovedPrism full-site checks go up to 250 pages.
UICheck in your AI assistant
Run checks and fix findings from Claude, Cursor, VS Code or Windsurf.
- NewAn MCP server: connect at uicheck.app/mcp (sign in with OAuth) or run
uicheck mcplocally. Assistants can run checks, read findings with their pictures, re-scan and see what changed. - NewWith permission, assistants can also mark findings fixed, create tracker issues and reply to comments.
- ImprovedChecks wait less when it’s busy: people’s checks go first, workspaces get fair shares, and big full-site checks run in batches so others can go in between.
- ImprovedReview groups problems by area (Layout, Accessibility, Forms…) with chips that filter the boxes on the screens.
- NewAn MCP server: connect at uicheck.app/mcp (sign in with OAuth) or run
Five new checks and a new Overview
More of what a careful tester would catch, and a report that leads with the verdict.
- NewLayout shift: what moves while the page loads, and why (a picture without a size, a block added above, a web font).
- NewDark mode: sites that have one are checked in it too, for faded text and logos that disappear.
- NewTranslation readiness: text made as long as a German or Finnish translation, to find what would be cut off or wrap.
- NewPicture weight and site health: oversized pictures, an expiring security certificate or domain, mixed content and broken embeds.
- NewAccessibility tested with users’ own settings: doubled text size, a 320px-wide window, text over pictures measured from the pixels.
- NewFix once, fixed everywhere: on full-site checks the same finding on 3+ pages is grouped as one shared part, such as the header or footer.
- ImprovedA verdict-first Overview: score ring, quality gate, WCAG 2.2 AA, Health by area and Since last check.
- NewStaging vs live: one button checks both and shows every difference before launch.
- NewPlaywright plugin:
await uicheck(page)checks the screen your test reached. - NewSite widget comment mode: visitors click any element on the live page to pin a comment, several per send.
Releases with client sign-off, and launch checks
Hand a site over with a signed-off release, and catch launch mistakes first.
- NewReleases: a review round per project where the client approves each page. When every page is approved you get a printable sign-off certificate.
- NewReady to go live? on every release: search and sharing, links, forms, layout and accessibility, each pass, to look at, or blocking.
- NewBroken links and launch mistakes: noindex or robots.txt on the live site, canonicals and links still pointing at staging, missing titles and descriptions.
- NewForm validation tried like a visitor on phones (empty fields, a bad email, Submit). Nothing is ever sent.
- NewWeekly report email on the day and time you choose: checks, scores, confirmed fixes, feedback and monitoring changes.
- NewChange viewer: text changes drawn on the page, a before/after slider, and every screen size side by side.
- ImprovedFull-site checks read page by page: a Pages table, then Fix first and Insights.
Review mode, one To fix list and the site widget
Review pages with your team and clients, and track every fix in one place.
- NewReview: the check’s screenshots in device frames side by side, with clickable links, problems drawn on the page and a Live switch.
- NewTo fix: findings, comments and site reports in one list with status, assignee and priority.
- NewFix verification: when something is marked fixed, the page is re-checked and you confirm with a before/now picture.
- NewFeedback widget: a script tag that lets visitors and clients send marked-up screenshots and recordings from your site.
- NewA welcome screen and a getting-started list for new accounts.
- ImprovedWell-known cookie banners are hidden before screenshots.

Save sites as projects, invite your team, and get told when a page changes.
- NewProjects: save a site’s pages, screen sizes, browser and login, and check them with one click.
